.... but there is a kitty.....
... one of Catlanta's little kittys has arrived in Thornton - birthplace of the Brontes - Bradford, United Kingdom.
And here he is relaxing at Costa Coffee Birch Service Station before his long journey east on the M62 to Thornton - time to catch up with the news.....
Google Catlanta for details of this exciting art work.... I did try to give you a link, but it didn't work. You can also follow Catlanta on Twitter and Facebook and Flikr. I think I have worked out how to add links..... try clicking here! or here!
This is 'Spring'
And this is 'Winter'....
the tutorial for these tree blocks was found on this blog - click here for details.
I thought is was about time I had a go at some of the fabulous tutorials I had found on the internet..... Believe it or not, I am planning on adding Summer and Autumn blocks to my little quilt. but before I do any more - I need to make an embroidery before Friday evening. This is the plan for Alizarin......

I'm home!!!! Had a lovely holiday in Atlanta Georgia, visiting quilt shows and quilt shops and teaching my daughter in law how to quilt - Sorry Darling Son you and the dog are now quilting widowers.
This is my daughter in laws first quilt!! It is now bound and completed - I'll have to get a photo of the finished quilt for my blog
I made this little quilt while I was staying with my DS and DIL, mainly to show some of the techniques. The fabric was from Jo-Ann's.
I also found a tutorial on the internet for this little zippered bag - I will have to see if I can find the link for the site..... but not tonight!
Catlanta's little kitty looks like he's going on a trip.......
... but is he ready to fly?????
... he's got his passport - though how he managed to get hold of a British one I'll never know - maybe his mum knows something we don't!!

Spent Friday at an Ineke Berlin workshop she had some patterns for landscape quilts and we had been asked to bring plain and textured fabrics - but as I didn't have any textured fabrics I decided to used patterned fabrics and here is the resulting wallhanging. It needs houses and trees adding. I finished it on Friday night after the workshop so I could take it to the Regional day of the quilters guild for show and tell. I am also taking it to Intown Quilt group show and tell.... Just realised I don't have a photo of it actually finished and quilted... never mind - better luck next time....
This is a quilted tie I made this afternoon for my suitcase.
