.... you can celebrate the Royal Wedding.
I was fabric shopping this afternoon and found a lovely fabric produced specially for the forthcoming Royal Wedding. It had a lovely curly monogram of a W and a C as part of the design. I decided not to buy any as I couldn't think of any use for it - however on the way home I decided I could probably make a quilted Toilet Roll Holder. Maybe I should go back and buy some!

Post Atlanta
I'm home!!!! Had a lovely holiday in Atlanta Georgia, visiting quilt shows and quilt shops and teaching my daughter in law how to quilt - Sorry Darling Son you and the dog are now quilting widowers.
This is my daughter in laws first quilt!! It is now bound and completed - I'll have to get a photo of the finished quilt for my blog

I made this little quilt while I was staying with my DS and DIL, mainly to show some of the techniques. The fabric was from Jo-Ann's.

I also found a tutorial on the internet for this little zippered bag - I will have to see if I can find the link for the site..... but not tonight!

Catlanta's little kitty looks like he's going on a trip.......

... but is he ready to fly?????

... he's got his passport - though how he managed to get hold of a British one I'll never know - maybe his mum knows something we don't!!

Finished landscape
Workshops

Spent Friday at an Ineke Berlin workshop she had some patterns for landscape quilts and we had been asked to bring plain and textured fabrics - but as I didn't have any textured fabrics I decided to used patterned fabrics and here is the resulting wallhanging. It needs houses and trees adding. I finished it on Friday night after the workshop so I could take it to the Regional day of the quilters guild for show and tell. I am also taking it to Intown Quilt group show and tell.... Just realised I don't have a photo of it actually finished and quilted... never mind - better luck next time....

This is a quilted tie I made this afternoon for my suitcase.

Something old - something new....
I made this little wall hanging years ago for my mum - before I had even heard of cotton wadding. It is foundation pieced and I loved the pansy fabric SO MUCH.....
..... that I bought MORE and made mum a quilt to match the wallhanging!! She saves it for the winter months.
I made this notebook cover this afternoon for a forthcoming trip..... I'll let you guess where I am going - unfortunately there are no prizes!
